The Shade Tree Commission is responsible for recommending and advocating for regulations to preserve the Township's tree canopy and buffers. 

Volunteer Opportunities
Help make Abington a beautiful, tree-filled community! We hold events to plant and care for trees, give away free trees to residents, and educate the public. Come lend a hand at these events, or work with us to plan tree plantings or other tree-related events in your own neighborhood. Teens and children are welcome to volunteer with a parent/guardian.
