Service Projects

Pop-Up Projects

Our pop-up service projects are free to attend and open to all ages. These family-friendly events last about an hour, making them perfect for busy schedules. Each pop-up moves around town — you’ll find us at local businesses, community centers and nonprofit organizations throughout Abington Township and the surrounding area.

At-Home Projects

We offer monthly at-home service projects for those who prefer to participate on their own schedule. Each month, a simple prompt is shared that can be completed at home—or anywhere else—individually or with family, friends, or coworkers.

Custom Projects

For schools, businesses and community groups, we design custom service projects. Support can range from helping plan the project and create supply lists to full setup and day-of facilitation, ensuring meaningful and well-organized volunteer experiences.

Love Notes for Seniors: An At-Home Service Project

Now through Monday, February 9, 2026
At-Home, on your own or with family and friends

Help us create 140 Valentine’s Day cards for seniors at Rydal Park and Waters. Cards will be shared with Health Center residents and those living on the personal care memory floor. Making cards for seniors is a simple way to brighten someone’s day and remind them they are remembered and valued. A handmade note can bring comfort, connection and joy, especially for seniors who may feel isolated.

Gather your art-supplies and craft home-made cards or use pre-made cards from the store.

Not sure what to write? Try:

“Thinking of you and wishing you a happy Valentine’s Day”
“Wishing you comfort, joy and many reasons to smile.”
“Sending you love and good wishes today”

The location to drop-off cards is to be determined. In the meantime, please email KindnessCrewAbington@gmail.com and we can make arrangements for drop off/pick up.
